Comunicare – Associazione Apuana Lingue Straniere in
collaboration with Massa’s Town Council organises the following
foreign language courses: English, French, Spanish,
Russian and
German.
Adult
Courses
Every course is led by
an Italian Teacher who uses the audio active language laboratory.
Conversation is taken by a Mother Tongue Teacher. All classes last
one and a half hours and are held twice a week. Students are
required to take an entrance test.
The courses are divided
as follows:

First level or
beginners: aimed at those students without prior knowledge of the
chosen language.

Second level or
pre-intermediate: aimed at those students who have completed the
preceding course or have a knowledge of the chosen language.
-
Third level or
intermediate: aimed at those students who have completed the
previous courses and have an adequate knowledge of the chosen
language.
-
Advanced level:
reserved for those who having attended the three levels want to
continue with more in-depth study of the chosen language. This
course is entirely run by a Mother Tongue Teacher.

Conversation courses:
aimed at those students who have a good knowledge of the chosen
language and who want to practice, maintain and improve their
fluency and accuracy. These courses meet once a week and are
entirely run by Mother Tongue Teachers.

Teenage Courses (12-18
years)
Aimed at those students who want more
interaction in their chosen foreign language. Each class is held
once a week, lasts for one hour and is conducted in the foreign
language by a Mother Tongue Teacher.

Children’s Classes (6-11
years)
Dedicated to the students who want to
improve on the language level offered by their schools. Each class
is held once a week, lasts for one hour and is conducted in the
foreign language by a Mother Tongue Teacher.

Location
All courses are held at our premises in
Via Venturini, Massa or can be held elsewhere if required.

N.B. Each course can
only run if there is a minimum of seven students (for classes
running once a week) or twelve students (for classes running twice a
week). All courses are subject to alteration at the discretion of
the Director.

to 27th September, everyday 9.00–12.00 and Tuesday and Thursday

our students
All our students have
the opportunity of the following:
European Certification
To achieve European
Certification, which apart from being a necessary part of your CV,
is also recognised as a credit in schools and universities. We offer
the following certification courses:
English: Trinity
College of London, exams held on our premises.
French: Diplome
d’Etudes en Langue Francaise – Delf, exams held at appropriate
premises.
German: Zertifikat
Deutsch, exams held at the Goethe Institut.
Spanish language:
examinations to obtain the Diploma de Español como Lengua
Extranjera, in a qualified centre.
Library and Video
Services
Books, audio cassettes, video cassettes in foreign
languages can be borrowed for a week at a time.
Trips to European Capitals
We organise one or more trips, according to demand,
to a European Capital relating to the language being studied.
Students are accompanied on these stimulating and exciting trips
that will not only improve their language skills but also give
students an opportunity to experience the culture of the
country.
Chatterbox Club
Extra-curricular meetings at which all the students
can participate in the following ways: songs, dance, poetry, film,
conference, debate, readings and discussion on the text, preparation
and tasting of various traditional foods, picnics etc. All held in
the foreign language.
